When I opened it to see shiny black PVC, it was definitely not something I would chose myself. Honestly, the word tacky came to mind upon my first glances. It’s not until you put the corset on that you realize how sexy the PVC can actually look. Yes, there were images of late night hookers running through my mind at first.
It is very well made from a strong material which is stretchy, yet holds it’s form. It is stitched well and has twelve bones sewn throughout to give support. This Allure corset also comes with a g string to match. There are detachable garters which means this corset would look great with suspenders.
The lace up back uses thick cord which keeps securely when tied in the middle. I find this very easy to do up on my own and tie. Putting it on proved trickier as unless you untie the ribbon at the front and undo the hook and eye clasps beneath, you have to put it on over your head.
The ribbon at the front is lovely and not a cheap material. It won’t fray easily. It is also designed so that you can change the ribbon over to whatever you fancy. If pink isn’t your color, you can use a different colored ribbon to match your accessories, mardi gras beads, chains, lace, whatever takes your fancy! Both the corset and g string are hand wash only.
The corset featured is a size small. I was quite concerned as to whether it would make the most of my boobs. I’m a 28C and honestly, it didn’t do much for them, but it did look sexy with heels. Curious as to what it would look like on those who actually have some assets to flaunt, my two friends sized around 32DD tried it on and you could only really tell the effect of the corset from the side, from the front they seemed squished.
Overall it is a well made versatile corset, which definitely looks better on than off. It could be worn as a top on it’s own, or underneath clothing as a cheeky surprise.
